PCToday Photo Gallery - Floral Design Show

A quartet of accomplished floral designers, as well as Pennsylvania College of Technology students displaying their artful work, were featured in a floral-design show Thursday night to benefit student scholarships. Students from Penn College’s Floral Design/Interior Plantscape Program created pieces for the Field House show, as did the four featured designers: Dean Yale, an American Institute of Floral Designers premier designer; Amanda L. Garman, a 1996 Penn College graduate and an Associated Landscape Contractors of America-certified interior landscape technician; Michael A. Hasco, a 1999 graduate working toward the institute’s accreditation in floral design; and Jill E. Hoffines, Class of 2000, owner/operator of Floral Designs of Mount Joy. Serving as commentator was Christine A. Fink, a floral-design instructor and floral-event coordinator at Penn College, and a 2004 inductee into the prestigious AIFD. An auction of featured floral designs, with proceeds benefiting the School of Natural Resources Management Endowed Scholarship Fund, concluded the evening.
