PCToday Photo Gallery - Penn State Architecture Students Visit Masonry Lab

Students from the School of Construction and Design Technologies tutored architectural students from The Pennsylvania State University in the hands-on hallmark of a Pennsylvania College of Technology education on Thursday. Spending the day in the college's masonry lab, the Penn State students learned a variety of skills from the helpful students, undertaking projects that helped them both recognize the complexity of masonry work and understand the durability and sustainability of such craftsmanship. Richard R. Motter and Glenn R. Luse, instructors of building construction, also mentored the visitors from University Park. Penn College also received considerable support from Glen Gery Corp., Watsontown Brick and Beavertown Block; and several representatives from the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsworkers Union were on hand to promote the industry and assist with the student guests.
