PCToday Photo Gallery - CalJava Cake Contest and Cake & Pastry Display

Ten students in the college's Cakes and Decorations II class competed for prizes sponsored by CalJava International, a cake decorating supplier based in Northridge, Calif., during a contest Monday at the college's Professional Development Center. Some students spent as many as 100 hours working on their cakes, each of which was designed as a "Salute to Mothers." Also judged were works displayed by students in Cakes and Decorations I, Principles of Chocolate Works, and Sugar Art courses. Visitors to the display, who included high school students from around the region, entered cash votes for their favorite among the large cake entries for a People's Choice Award, money from which will be given to the Williamsport YWCA's Liberty House.
