James Parker, a 1991 Penn College culinary arts graduate and founder of Veggy Art, based in northern Virginia, returned to campus Oct. 24-25 to offer demonstrations and hands-on lessons to students and alumni as part of the college's William C. Butler Lecture Series. An in-demand creator of buffet showpieces, Parker has worked for the Sheraton-Washington Hotel and The Ritz-Carleton Hotel, and he has created pieces for such venues as The White House. He now teaches others to create the art.
