PCToday Photo Gallery - Spring 2007 Welding Competition

Eighteen Pennsylvania College of Technology students and 18 students from area secondary schools competed in a welding contest held Feb. 28 in the college's Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center. The contest was conducted by the Central Pennsylvania Section of the American Welding Society. Penn College students' welding jobs were judged against one another by AWS members from local industries. Students from three area high schools – Williamsport Area High School, Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School, and SUN Area Career and Technology Center – also made welds in the college's labs that were judged against one another. Winners will be announced and honored at a banquet March 7.
