PCToday Photo Gallery - August 2005 Commencement

[Photo Gallery Archives]

Nearly 120 students marched as Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement ceremony Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Community Arts Center.

Column 1 (top to bottom): Soon-to-be-graduates leaf through the program prior to the proceedings; a senior shares the moment  – and his mortarboard – with a special family well-wisher; posing for yet another photograph; and Davie Jane Gilmour, college president, turns the tassel of student speaker Tim D. Case to signify his transition from student to graduate.

Column 2 (top to bottom): A day for happiness, with best friends and classmates outside the Genetti Hotel; a day for hugs, too, as a grateful grad shows her appreciation for supportive family;
President Gilmour, "one on one" with the summer graduating class; a Health Sciences graduate adorns her cap with a stethoscope, bandages and other tools of her new trade; and the Class of 2005 gathers along William Street prior to their commencement procession.

Column 3 (top to bottom): The student speaker represents his class; the end of a long journey, the start of a new life; Gordon Bryan, vice president of career development, American Infrastructure, accepts this year's Mentorship Award; paramedic technology graduates find shade under a nearby "tree of knowledge."
