PCToday Photo Gallery - Earth Day (Spring 2006)

Forest technology students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management welcomed elementary pupils from the Montgomery Area School District in observance of Earth Day on Thursday, April 20, sharing their knowledge about different aspects of the outdoors. The sunny spring day offered the youngsters a picture-perfect opportunity to learn from Penn College students, who staffed 14 stations throughout the beautiful "living laboratory," ranging from tree measurement and forest-firefighting to sawmilling and wood identification. The children also hiked nature trails, and each received a seedling and a cross-section of wood as keepsakes of their visit to the 378-acre Earth Science Center.
