Pennsylvania College of Technology's active students (and supportive staff) weren't lacking for civic-minded things to do on Feb. 18-19, making speedy progress on the college's first-ever Mardi Gras float and hosting a social for local Special Olympians at the Bush Campus Center. Students and staff converged at M.W. Farmer and Co. on Fleming Street in South Williamsport on Saturday, where the colorful float continues to take shape for its debut in the Feb. 25 parade through downtown Williamsport. About 30 students from various clubs and organizations filled the Campus Center with smiles the following day, pairing up with approximately 25 Special Olympics athletes, sharing snacks and moving through various stations pool and board games, bingo, and crafts projects in the CC TV Lounge and CC Commons.
