Pennsylvania College of Technology received a grant to support a summer camp for secondary school students interested in careers in emergency medical services.
The EMT-Paramedic Camp, scheduled for June 16-17 for students entering grades nine to 12, is funded in part by a $1,500 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health through the Lycoming County Department of Public Safety.
The camp introduces a variety of EMT-paramedic skills through hands-on workshops in a state-of-the-art paramedic and rescue facility.
Participants have opportunities to interact with Penn College students and faculty, as well as Susquehanna Health and Geisinger Life Flight paramedics.
