Steven K. McCoy and Stacey C. Hampton explain Penn College's construction management and civil engineering technology majors at the Frederick ACE College Fair in Maryland. Recently, Steven K. McCoy, coordinator of matriculation and retention for the School of Construction and Design Technologies, and Stacey C. Hampton, coordinator of matriculation and retention for the School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies, participated in the Frederick ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) College Fair held at the Bechtel Corp. in Frederick, Md.

This college fair was held for students currently in the ACE Mentor program, local high students who are taking engineering classes, and architecture students from the County Career and Technology Center.

Along with the students, parents were invited to a presentation about Pennsylvania College of Technology’s construction management and civil engineering technology degrees. In addition to Penn College, Frederick Community College, Rutgers University, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and West Virginia University presented information about their engineering, architecture and construction management programs.

This is Penn College’s third year of participation. In the Fall 2007 semester, two students – one in the School of Construction and Design and one in Industrial and Engineering Technologies – are former ACE students.
