Penn College Names Alumni Relations Director

Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Valerie L. Fessler as director of alumni relations.
Fessler, who had been employed as development officer, direct marketing for the Geisinger Foundation, Danville, began her duties at the college on Oct. 19.
Previously, Fessler was employed as assistant director of development for the Bloomsburg University Foundation and as Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for Geisinger Health System. She also had been employed as independent phonathon coordinator for the Bloomsburg University Foundation.
“We are pleased to have Valerie become a member of the Institutional Advancement team at Penn College,” said Barry R. Stiger, vice president for institutional advancement. “Valerie’s experience at the Geisinger Foundation and Bloomsburg University are closely related to her responsibilities in the position of director of alumni relations. I am looking forward to introducing Valerie to our alumni from the Williamsport Technical Institute, Williamsport Area Community College and Pennsylvania College of Technology.”
Fessler, who expects to complete a master’s degree in business education in December at Bloomsburg University, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications studies from the university in 2003.
She is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Fessler, a Montoursville native, and her husband, Curt, who is employed by Construction Specialties, Muncy, will reside in South Williamsport.
