Penn College Faculty Member Offers Honors Lecture

Debra S. Morris A communication and literature faculty member at Pennsylvania College of Technology was recently invited to deliver a presentation as part of the Honors Lecture Series presented by Harrisburg Area Community College.

Debra S. Morris, assistant professor of English-technical communication, presented a lecture titled “The Censoring of Mothering: Images of Women in ‘Fahrenheit 451.’”

Her presentation was recently recognized in a letter sent to her by the director of the Honors Program at HACC as “the best thing a good teacher could hope for – solid information passed on in a clever, humorous and accessible way.”

Morris has been teaching at Penn College since 1999. She holds a doctorate and master’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and earned a bachelor’s degree from Smith College.
