An associate professor of collision repair at Pennsylvania College of Technology co-authored the textbook, “Collision Repair and Refinishing: A Foundation Course for Technicians,” which recently was published by Cengage/Delmar Learning.
Alfred M. Thomas II collaborated with Michael Jund, an instructor at Eastern Iowa Community College. The book offers a comprehensive introduction to the collision repair profession and industry and is intended as a core curriculum resource in postsecondary courses.
Thomas received a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, a bachelor’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University and an associate degree from Washtenaw Community College.
He also has attained professional credentials from Automotive Service Excellence, Toyota and I-CAR, among other industry leaders, and is a contributing editor at Automotive Body Repair News.
Prior to joining the Penn College faculty about a decade ago, Thomas spent 12 years as a secondary vocational instructor and 15 years in the collision repair industry as a technician and shop manager.
