
Faculty Member Presents at Conference on Academic Integrity

William J. Astore, associate professor of history at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently gave the plenary address at the Annual International Conference on Academic Integrity, held Oct. 16-18 at Washington University in St. Louis.
The subject of Astore’s talk was “The Wider Dimensions of Academic Integrity.” His address was sponsored by the Center for Academic Integrity at Clemson University.
The address has since been selected as the lead article for the December 2009 issue of the International Journal for Educational Integrity, published in Australia.

Astore holds a doctorate in modern history from the University of Oxford. He has taught military cadets at the Air Force Academy and officers at the Naval Postgraduate School. His books and articles, focusing primarily on military history, include “Hindenburg: Icon of German Militarism” (Potomac Press, 2005).
