Roommate Agreement
Sharing a room with another person can be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable aspects of your college experience. The opportunity to become close friend with someone new or a person from a different background and different ideas, provides a tremendous personal learning experience. Since there is always an initial adjustment period, this agreement was designed to facilitate discussion between roommates.
Rights of Roommates
Each roommate possesses the following rights. Conversely, each individual should ensure that they are the type of roommate who helps to ensure that these rights exists.
- The right to read, study, and sleep in their room with as little disturbance as possible.
- The right to enter the room whenever one would like unless other provisions are agreed upon by all parties.
- The right to be free of physical or emotional harassment.
- The right to speak openly.
- The right to be treated considerately and thoughtfully.
- The right to address problems and concerns in a mature manner.

We, the undersigned, agree to the above rights and behavioral decisions. Additionally, we agree that specific stipulations may be adjusted by the mutual agreement of all roommates and that a new Agreement must be signed by all parties.
