2009 -2010 Penn College Community Assistants

Community Assistants

The Community Assistant Program is in its fourth year and is a nationally recognized program for its creativity and impact on students living off-campus. Not only do the community assistants serve as a resource, but they also plan programs and activities for students living off-campus. They provide a link between College administration and the off-campus student community.

Julie

Hamburg, Pennsylvania is where I call home. Currently, I am a senior in the Physical Fitness Specialist program. After receiving my degree from Penn College in June 2010, I plan on continuing my education at Penn State Main Campus. There, I will pursue a additional degree in Dietetics.

I have played Women’s Soccer for the past two years at Penn College and am one of the captains. Also, I am a member of the Student Athletic advisory council.

My name is Meredith Coleman, and I am a junior here at Penn College. I am in the Nursing program, and absolutely love it! I live in Worcester, PA which is right outside Philadelphia… right by the King of Prussia mall!

I have been captain of the Penn College Dance Team for the past two years now, performing for the men’s basketball games. I also serve as a Presidential Student Ambassador, giving tours to prospective students and parents.

Adam Yoder

Hello! My name is Adam Yoder, and I am a Community Assistant. I am from Allensville, PA. I am in my fourth year at Penn College and have completed two Associate degree programs in Electrical Technology and Electromechanical Maintenance Technology. I’m currently enrolled in the Building Automation Technology program. I’m also a Presidential Student Ambassador and play bass in a band called Shelbyville. I chose to become a Community Assistant because I enjoy interacting with Penn College students and faculty, and want to become an active member in the off campus community.
