Quality Control Inspector
A Quality Control Inspector is a residential energy efficiency professional who ensures the completion, appropriateness, and quality of energy upgrade work by conducting a methodological audit/inspection of the building, performing safety and diagnostic tests, and observing the work. This course covers how to successfully perform the fundamental QCI responsibilities, including understanding regulations and standards, desk monitoring, building assessment, in-progress monitoring, and report writing. The course includes a field trip to a weatherized house (or lab mock-up) where participants will conduct a Quality Assurance assessment and generate a QA Report. This course is approximately 60% presentation and 40% classroom exercises and requires participant participation in classroom and hands-on exercises, quizzes, as well as a passing grade (70% or above) in the end-of-course exam (QA Report).
