Mail Services
NOTE: An Office Directory (PDF) of department telephone extensions, DIF numbers, and FAX numbers is available on the College's F drive in the Public\Docs folder.
Scheduled Delivery and Pickup Times
Mail Services picks up, sorts, and delivers campus mail, along with incoming and outgoing U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail, daily. The following mail schedule is followed Monday - Friday.
Dispatch times for main campus
All offices: 9:30 a.m. - noon
Select offices: 2 - 3 p.m.
Pick up at Executive Office & LRC Information Desk: 4 p.m.
Dispatch times for satellite campuses
Mail for NC, ESC & Aviation: 2 p.m.
Mail for Reach Road, GS & BTRC: 4 p.m.
Cutoff time for special services
Certified & Express Mail: 3 p.m.
Federal Express & USPS Express Mail: 3 p.m.
Federal Express or USPS Express mail envelope/package
Please send an e-mail to mail services to alert staff if you put an envelope/package in your mailbag that must be sent out for next-day delivery. Cutoff time for preparing next-day deliveries is 3 p.m. (Mail Services will not be responsible for next-day deliveries if you have not sent the e-mail to alert staff.)
Regular U.S. Mail
Outbound mail collected during the day is processed for delivery to the USPS at 8 a.m. Exception: all mail is delivered to the USPS at 4 p.m. on Fridays, and on weekdays prior to a holiday.
Internal or Inter-Office Mail
This mail consists of loose or enveloped correspondence. To provide proper delivery, internal mail requires the recipient's full name and DIF number.
DIF Number ("mail stop" code)
The term DIF ("deliver it fast") is used to identify a mail stop for an internal location. Each school/office and employee has been assigned a DIF number; these are listed in your office directory, either on your desktop or on the College’s Web site at https://as400sec.pct.edu/EmployeeDirectory/dir/index.jsp.
