PAN slips
All outgoing mail must be submitted with a Postage Account Number (PAN) slip (peach for 1st class mail; blue for special mailing needs) for charging postage back to departments. Clients with more than one PAN must keep mail separate so that postage is charged to appropriate accounts.
Return address
Mail to be metered by the College must have the College's name and return address. Only mail dealing with official College business is approved for regular College metering. No home address (as return addresses) will be accepted for metering. The College will not meter mail for outside organizations, and will not meter mail and accept funds for payment.
Empty envelopes
The College will not meter "empty" envelopes.
Foreign mail (includes Canada and Mexico)
Keep separate; foreign mail requires additional postage. Attach a blue PAN slip for all foreign mail.
Personal mail
Mail Services will take your stamped and sealed mail to the U.S. Post Office at the our scheduled time. Please keep it separate, and use your home address as the return address. Personal mail will not be metered. Mail Services has the right to inspect mail in College envelopes which are sealed and not stamped.
Stamps
Mail Services has a limited number of first-class stamps available for purchase. Stop by Mail Services to purchase them; do not send money and personal unstamped letters through the interoffice mail.
