Madigan Library Campaign
Letter from Dr. Gilmour
Dear Friends,
Excitement has overwhelmed the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus with the opening of the new Roger and Peggy Madigan Library.
We have waited a long time for a new library and the Madigan Library was worth the wait. A declarative “Wow!” is often the expression that we hear as students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors enter the new library for the first time.
Madigan Library meets the Association of College and Research Library Standards and provides seating for 1,000, as well as computer laboratories and individual and group study areas that incorporate the most advanced technologies.
We are proud that our Board of Directors chose to dedicate the library in honor of State Sen. Roger A. Madigan and his late wife Peggy. We also are extremely grateful that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania contributed $7 million in state capital budget redevelopment assistance to support the library’s construction.
The campaign to support construction of the Madigan Library has received strong support and participation from our alumni, faculty and staff, board members, business and industry partners, and the community. If you have made a contribution to the library campaign, I thank you for your generosity.
If you have not yet contributed or you would like to increase your contribution, many options – including legacy opportunities – are still available. To review these giving options, please select the appropriate giving form from the list shown at left. Please contact the Institutional Advancement Office at (570) 320-8020 or madiganlibrary@pct.edu for information on available legacy opportunities or with questions on the campaign.
Sincerely,
Davie Jane Gilmour, Ph.D.
President
