Aviation Library
The Aviation Library is contained in a small second floor room in the Catherine Wentzel Lumley Aviation Center. Unlike Penn College’s other libraries, its major purpose is to provide a reading room for the extremely busy students who attend classes at the Aviation Center. Since these students are in class or in a lab for almost the entire day, they have very little time to conduct library research while they are on site. When they do, however, have an occasional break, some of the students enjoy perusing the materials housed in the Library.
Collections
The Aviation Center Library has a very small collection of general reference books and a small collection of popular reading books that would catch the interest of students interested in aviation/avionics. Also housed in the Library are microfiche collections relevant to aviation/avionics coursework. A fiche reader is provided for those students who wish to use this material.
Contacts
Gary Giacobbi, aviation faculty member and library contact person, is the person to initially consult if you have questions or concerns pertaining to the Aviation Library. Alan Buck, cataloging librarian and branch library liaison, would also be glad to assist you if necessary.
