Jim Bressler (MP3)
Mr. Jim Bressler started the Agriculture Program in 1945, and was also the Head
of the English Department, Dean of Applied Arts & Sciences, and the Director of
Vocational Education.

Kenneth Carl (MP3)
Dr. Kenneth Carl graduated from the Williamsport High School vocational
education program, working as a draftsman at Lycoming Manufacturing Co. (now
AVCO) as part of the cooperative program, during his senior year. After
receiving a degree from Penn State in 1936 in Industrial Education, he taught
drafting at WHS. As a faculty member of WTI, the Vocational Diagnostic Program
which he developed in 1951 to acquaint disabled adults with career options
served as a model for similar programs across the U.S. He later became Director
of WTI, 1952 – 1965, and President of WACC, 1965-1973.

Dr.David Heiney (MP3)
Dr. David Heiney was a counselor, Dean of Student Services, and, finally,
interim President of WACC.

Dr. William Homisak (MP3)
Dr. William Homisak first came to WTI in 1948, and held 17 positions until his
retirement in 1982. Starting in business education, he was Dean of Continuing
Education for Williamsport Area Community College . Later he served as the
Assistant to the President, and his last position was Executive Director of the
Foundation.

Robert Kissel (MP3)
An interview with Robert Kissel, a former professor at Williamsport Area
Community College. During his years at WACC, 1965-1985, he was a professor of
history and government and was also the history department chair for a number of
years. He also taught other subjects at WACC. He also discussed briefly how he
ended up here: He started out working at Avco and decided he needed to do
something else with his life. He talked about how he progressed from a Jr/Sr
high school teacher into a professor at WACC. The remainder of his interview
focused on his time at WACC and how the College grew during his years here.

Joseph Sick (MP3)
Mr. Joseph Sick created the Earth Science Campus and was its first director. He
arrived at WTI in 1948 and retired in 1983.
