Kusuma Cooray
Kusuma Cooray's culinary career has spanned three decades and four countries. A native of Sri Lanka, she began her career there in 1967, cooking, teaching writing for the country's leading English newspaper. After being educated in London and Paris, she moved to Hawaii. There she has worked as chef-de-cuisine and executive chef at the famed restaurant, The Willows, in Honolulu. She also works as a private consultant and delights audiences with her televised cooking demonstrations on Hawaii PBS and the Hawaii Interactive certified as an executive chef by the Culinary Federation of America, Cooray currently is chef-de-cuisine and certification chairman of the Hawaii Chapter of the Culinary Federation of America.
