2005 Pennsylvania Governor’s Institute for Mathematics Educators
The 2005 Governor's Institute for Mathematics Educators focused on the Pennsylvania Assessment Anchors and the integration of the Anchors into a school improvement plan.
For teachers attending the Institute, the content focus of the 2005 Governor’s Institute for Mathematics Educators for teachers varied depending on grade band. The following lists the focus of the Assessment Anchor content instruction for each grade band:
- K-2: Numbers and Operations (A)
- 3-5: Numbers and Operations (A)
- 6-8: Numbers and Operations (A) & Algebraic Operations (D)
- 9-12: Algebraic Operations (D)
The Administrator Strand focused instruction on the development of administrative skills to lead a department, building, or district into a standards-based delivery model focused on the assessment anchors.
A master copy of the anchor cards distributed at the Institute that can be used to create a K-12 deck for each of the Assessment Anchor content areas.
