Educator in the Workplace
Do your students ask questions like:
- Why are we doing this?
- How will I use this in Life?
- What’s the point?
The Gold Medal Initiative can help you develop the best answers. Join us for three events in November and December. In addition to touring local businesses, educators will earn Act 48 credit and enjoy a dinner on us.
Fall 2009 Educator in the Workplace Series
Opportunity for educators to connect with the workplace in a short session that is not disruptive to daily school responsibilities.
Dress for all events is casual. If special dress is required, you will be notified.
Each workplace experience provides:
- A clear understanding of today's workplace
- The operation and employment forecast of the local business
- Identification of local career choices
- Discussion of education requirements of employees
Register through the link above. Register as soon as possible. Each session is limited to 20 participants. Confirmation of registration, agenda for evening and directions to the location will be sent via email. A set of suggested questions that educators will want to ask will be provided to each participant. The answers to these questions will provide valuable information to take back to your classroom.
