Central Pennsylvania Tech Prep Consortium Key Component 1
Key Component 1: Articulation and Programs of Study
The Central Region Tech Prep Consortium will support the continuing development and implementation of the Statewide Articulation Agreement and Programs of Study by:
- Ensure PDE-approved CTE programs adopts and implements at least one POS. [PDE link to POS]
- Coordinate the implementation of the Statewide Articulation Agreement
- Providing the opportunity for students to participate in dual or concurrent enrollment programs or other ways to acquire postsecondary education credits. [Penn College NOW link]
- Assist all CTCs and school districts in conducting PDE required end-of-program assessment aligned to the POS. [Career and Technology Education]
- Facilitate articulation with all CTCs and school districts to establish a two-year postsecondary certificate, associate degree or registered apprenticeship. These articulations may articulate into a baccalaureate degree program. [Link to the Articulation Website]
- Assist all CTCs and school districts to ensure student placement in careers related to the “High Priority Occupations” or to further education. [Link to the High Priority Occupations List]
