Computer and Software Discounts

MSDN Academic Alliance Software

Penn College is a member of the MSDN Academic Alliance. This program is the easiest and most inexpensive way for students and faculty in the technology and design fields to get the latest Microsoft software they need.

MSDNAA is hosted by ELMS (e-academy License Management System) to enable easier administration and direct download distribution of software.

Enrollment

Students may only be enrolled at the request of their instructor. Student enrollment expires at the end of each semester.

Instructors may request enrollment for their class by e-mailing msdnaacis@pct.edu and including the following information:

Instructor name
Course title
Section number
Software needed

Once a request is approved, the Penn College MSDNAA Administrator will download the latest class roster and enroll the instructor and each student in the MSDNAA program for the semester. Students will receive an e-mail from e-academy with their login information.

Penn State's Online Computer Store

Penn College students and employees are permitted to order computer hardware and software from Penn State's Computer Store at considerable discounts.

Students and employees are eligible for these discounts as long as they remain a student or employee. When that association ends, the Computer Store account will be disabled. Questions about eligibility can be directed to the appropriate Penn College resource: Employee Help Desk ((570) 320-7329) or Student Help Desk ((570) 322-7154).

Note: It may take a week for Penn State to activate the student's account after tuition has been paid.

Simply shop online at Penn State's Computer Store. Have your student/employee ID number handy, as you will need it to check out and finalize your purchase. While shopping, be watchful for the following notations:

Items marked "Department Only" may only be purchased by the College for College use. Penn College department orders cannot be placed online; they must be made with a Penn College Purchase Order.
Items marked "Student Only" may only be purchased by students.
