Add PCT Web Resources to "Trusted Sites"
To protect your computer from being accessed or potentially harmed by outside parties, many browsers and supporting technologies have increased the level of security that is built-in to your Internet applications. One example of this heightened security came with the release of Microsoft Windows XP, SP2. With this version of XP, Internet Explorer came with several additional security measures. Although in most cases, these features are effective in safeguarding your computer from malicious programs and unauthorized access, they can also prohibit access to important resources - ANGEL is one of them.
To prevent your current Internet Explorer setup from blocking content in ANGEL or any other Penn College resource, you can follow the simple procedure outlined below. This is specifically for Internet Explorer, but other Internet browsers can be altered in a similar manner.
Step 1:
Go to Tools > Internet Options from the Main Menu at the top of the Internet Explorer browser window.

Step 2:
After selecting "Internet Options", click on the "Security tab" in the Internet Options dialog box and highlight the "Trusted Sites" icon as pictured to the right.

Step 3:
Click on the "Sites" button.

Step 4:
Make the following entries, clicking the "Add" button after each.

Basically, what you have done here is set your browser to permit all Web resources from Penn College to come through in your browser without security intervention. All sites ending in ".pct.edu" fall under your "Trusted Sites".
