Before Your Arrival: Health Insurance and Medical Records

Health Insurance: Pennsylvania College of Technology requires all international students to maintain adequate health insurance (including repatriation and evacuation). Penn College contracts with a health insurance provider for your health insurance coverage. The health insurance costs are added to your tuition bill each semester. The insurance payment cannot be deferred.

  • Estimated cost for one year of insurance is presently $405.

Health insurance reenrollment forms are completed in the international student office prior to the beginning of each semester.

Travel Insurance: In addition to the health insurance policy, you may want to take out travel insurance during your traveling between breaks.

Immunization Records: An Immunization Form is required to be submitted during your orientation. The form should be completed by a doctor in your home country, or, in the case of a transfer student, by a doctor at the college you are presently attending. There are two required vaccinations: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) and the TB test. If you are unable to obtain those prior to arrival, you must work with the Nurse at Penn College and get the required vaccination, booster and/or test within three weeks after arrival. Be sure to bring prescriptions for medication and eyeglasses.
