Q: What banks do you recommend?
A: There are several banks in the Williamsport area. Refer to the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce for the names, phone numbers locations and driving directions. We cannot recommend any bank – that depends on your needs. They all offer checking and savings accounts. We highly recommend that you choose one bank and have your money transferred there soon after you arrive to set up an account. You may also choose to have money transferred before you arrive. Most of the banks are able to receive wire transfers to set up an account.
Q: What type of transportation is available in Williamsport?
A: City bus is available throughout the day and on a limited basis during the weekends. It provides service in the Greater Williamsport area and to the mall several days a week. Taxi service is more commonly used to the airport. [More information]
