Italy - Explore Classical Rome and Campania
The course introduces students to the art and architectural monuments of Italy through direct observation and on-site lectures. The eras of Antiquity through Baroque are discussed. Highlights include: San Clemente, Capitoline Museum, Catacombs of San Sebastian, Pantheon, Tarquinia Necropolis and Archaeological Museum, Pompeii, Herculaneum, St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Vatican Necropolis.
You can receive 3 credits to fulfill an ART, BGD, or open elective for this class that examines the lifestyles and monuments of the ancient Romans.

Students must be at least 18 years old. There are no prerequisites. The program is open to students, alumni, staff, faculty, educators and those interested in an art study abroad experience.
To apply for this study abroad program please submit a completed Penn College Study Abroad application form (online and PDF) and a completed Culture Quest application (PDF) form with a $500 deposit, checks made payable to Culture Quest.
