Earn credits, experience other countries, meet new people, travel overseas, and add to your resume - all while being a Penn College student on a study abroad program! Penn College offers a growing number of study abroad programs. You may choose from short-term, week-long experiences to semester-long programs around the world.

Study abroad no longer means spending a year overseas nor is it a requirement to speak another language. You can live in a dormitory, stay with a host family, or rent your own flat (apartment). Programs may be formal lecture-based or experiential with more time spent in the field.
The IPO (International Programs Office) assists Penn College students in selecting and preparing for a study abroad experience.
The Office is a also a referral point for faculty who are interested in developing an overseas study program or faculty exchange.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of other programs throughout the world for summer, semester or year-long durations. General elective courses in the humanities and social sciences are most commonly taken, although classes tailored to degree programs are offered for some majors. Internships, volunteer experiences, or work experiences overseas are becoming more popular as they enhance the resume and build skills.
