The mission of the International Programs Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology is to promote the internationalization of the campus by:
- Providing services for international students
- Coordinating study abroad programs
- Hosting international groups on campus
- Sponsoring events that increase awareness and the development of a global perspective
International Students Services
The International Programs Office assists international students with their goals, advises on immigration and employment-related issues, and arranges social activities.
Study Abroad
The International Programs Office assists Penn College students in selecting and preparing for a study abroad experience. A variety of short-term and semester-long programs are offered to Italy, France, Mexico, Japan, Germany, and Australia. In addition, students may tailor their own needs through a number of programs offered by various institutions.
The IPO is a referral point for faculty and staff who are interested in developing an overseas study program or faculty exchange.
International Groups
The International Programs Office hosts groups of international students on the Penn College campus for one- and two-week educational and cultural experiences. Groups have been hosted from Mexico and Japan.
International Programming
The IPO increases awareness of international issues through various programs, films, and events. The largest event, International Week (held in the Spring), celebrates cultures through displays, food, presentations, music, sports, films, and fashion.
