Gifts Using Revocable Charitable Trust
If you would like to make a large gift to Penn College, but hesitate because you may need cash or property later, you can create a revocable charitable trust.
Any portion of the real estate, cash, or other property may be returned to you whenever needed.
There are no income tax advantages, but you can enjoy knowing you have arranged a gift without risk to your financial future.
Since title to the property passes under the terms of the trust agreement, it does not pass through your will or probate, and avoids estate or inheritance taxes.
The Penn College Institutional Advancement Office is not engaged in providing legal or tax advisory services. This information is of a general character only, and is subject to changes in state and federal tax laws, regulations and interpretations. For advice and assistance in specific cases, you should enlist the services of an attorney or other professional tax or financial adviser(s).
