Troy’s Background

Troy knew the manufacturing field was made for him. He was always interested in wood and metal fabrication and started exploring his options in this field as a student at North Schuylkill High School. Mass production and figuring out a way to improve a process and product intrigued him. After touring Penn College, he realized his education was about to expand.

Ti Wire

Troy graduated from Penn College in 2004, earning an associate of applied science degree in Toolmaking Technology. He then continued his Penn College education, earning a bachelor of science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology in 2005. Troy is now a Junior Process Engineer with Wah Chang Ti Wire, an Allegheny Technologies Company and a global leader in the technology and production of specialty materials. A variety of responsibilities accompany Troy’s title all of which involve an element of problem solving. He credits his ability to problem solve and his outstanding communication skills to his Penn College education. Without the ability to communicate and problem solve, he could not effectively or efficiently complete his job responsibilities.
