Penn College Education

It all started as a classroom challenge in Anthony Nieli’s database management integration course. Find a problem in the information technology world and solve it. A group of students decided to focus on the issue of outsourcing information technology (IT) jobs to foreign countries. The solution they created was a company called AmerITGrads (American IT Graduates). The company’s goal was to give college students hands-on experience to refine their skills and knowledge while providing excellent customer service to the clients they served, a viable stepping stone on the path to professional development.

AmerITGrads

Penn College alumni, Daniel Little, Christopher Suzadail, Jonathan Basiago, and Robert (Spyke) Krepshaw are the entrepreneurs behind AmerITGrads. These individuals craft a team eager to make a difference in the IT world. They appreciate the importance of technical education and want to help college students succeed while providing a variety of IT services. They also realize the need for their services in the local community. Several area businesses look to AmerITGrads for customized web development solutions to market their goods and services through an effective Web site.

Industry Outlook

These entrepreneurs feel they have an advantage in the IT industry. AmerITGrads embraces the benefits of technological transformation. The company is open to new challenges and can adapt easily to change. These factors alone are vital to survival in the IT world; but pair this with the company’s student and community focus and AmerITGrads is building the foundation for a long-lasting, successful future. The company’s forward-looking approach will assist in the economic development of the community, a community where people and businesses will grow and prosper.

Advice

Daniel, Christopher, Jonathan, and Spyke offer advice to current students. Be flexible to the changing IT environment and open to learn new skills. Be confidant in your abilities and focus on your strengths. Although these alumni have a variety of skills, they focus on their individual strengths to divide the business responsibilities. Together, they form a strong team committed to satisfying the clients they serve. These alumni also note the importance of management skills and how significant the management classes in their curriculum were to forming AmerITGrads. Every day their management skills are put to the test and they appreciate their Penn College education even more.
