A unique conference facility located in the heart of the campus, the Thompson Professional Development Center (PDC) was designed and constructed by Penn College students, faculty, and staff. The facility stands in testimony to the College’s commitment to excellence in education. Inside, the decor echoes the local environment and surrounding landmarks, for which the rooms have been named.
This facility contains four meeting rooms: the Mountain Laurel Room, the Tiadaghton Room, the Slate Run Room, and the Atrium. All meeting rooms in the PDC are equipped with audio, visual, and wireless computer/telecommunications capabilities, as well as personal computer support and environmental comfort controls.

Satellite transmissions for teleconferences may be projected onto an 18-foot screen for large gatherings.

The room features a large rectangular conference table and a wall mounted drymark/bulletin board. Computer/telephone and teleconferencing capabilities are among its resources. There is a striking view of the College's nationally recognized Advanced Technology and Health Sciences Center, and mountains beyond.
