Committees meet monthly 2nd Tuesdays; College Council meets 4th Tuesdays, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Governance Function
Purpose of Governance (Bylaws, Article 1):
To provide a broad-based opportunity for input and participation in examining, discussing, and making recommendations in general areas related to the stated functions of the standing committees.
College Council
- Act on reports from standing committees
- Forward reports, proposals, recommendations to the College president
- Receive reports and recommendations from the president
Standing Committees
- Investigate and analyze issues related to specific committee responsibilities
- Recommend action to College Council, when appropriate
Subcommittees
- Created for special tasks or projects, as needed
- Composed of representatives from various College areas
- Constitution should reflect all constituents as effectively as possible (Bylaws, Appendix VI)
