The function of the Long Range Planning (LRP) committee is to:
- Review and evaluate outcomes of existing strategic planning research documents and the College Long Range Plan.
- Assist in planning; recommend annual updates to the College LRP, and present annual analysis of institutional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) to President's Council.
- Brainstorm and promote innovative and creative ideas.
- Recommend annual and long-term planning priorities.
- Serve as review group for director of Strategic Planning & Research.
- Solicit input to the planning process.
- Communicate with the College community regarding planning and its outcomes.
Students, faculty and staff should relay concerns/ideas to committee members who represent particular areas. All issues brought to the committee will be discussed, researched, evaluated, and, if warranted, acted upon by routing the issue to College Council.
