Description
Pennsylvania College of Technology values the service and hard work of its employees, and recognizes that it is important for employees to cultivate their non-work endeavors. Our campus shines with creativity, and The Gallery at Penn College will applaud that creative spirit with the first Employee exhibition.
Rules for Entry
- The Gallery at Penn College welcomes entries from full-time Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty & staff.
- All work must be original.
- Participants may submit up to 3 entries. Work in the following media will be accepted: photography/digital art, sculpture, painting/drawing, textiles, ceramics, woodworking, mixed media, glass and metal.
- A statement of interest is requested from participants.
- Entries must be accompanied by an Entry form. Entry form will be available in January 2009.
- The College may photograph, telecast, or reproduce the entries for educational, catalogue, and publicity purposes, giving credit to the owner.
- All submitted works are subject to review by the Art Ethics Advisory Committee; submission does not guarantee display.
- The College will not transact the sale of any work.
- If more than one entry is submitted, qualified entrants will have at least one entry selected for exhibition.
- All work must be ready to hang/install; ie: framed and mounted, frames have picture wire. A limited number of pedestals will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Work cannot be removed before the end of the exhibit.
Exhibition Timeline
- By December 5, 2008 — Submit the Employee Exhibit Interest Form.
- By March 13, 2009 — Submit an Entry Form. Entry form will be available in January 2009.
- By March 27, 2009 —Entrants notified of entries which have been accepted for the exhibit.
- By April 24, 2009 — Last day to deliver all accepted works to The Gallery at Penn College.
- May 14, 2009 — Opening day of Exhibit. Gallery hours 2 – 8 p.m. Opening Reception, 4 – 7 p.m.
- June 30, 2009 — Last day of exhibit.
