Rules
Failure to abide by the rules of the Fitness Center could result in loss of membership.
General Rules
- Be courteous and respectful of others.
- Members must have a Self Appraisal form on file in the Student Health Services Office.
- All patrons must present Penn College ID cards or day passes at the Fitness Center front desk.
- Return used towels to the Fitness Center front desk.
- Children under the age of 17 are not permitted in the facility.
- Phones are for emergency use or official College business only.
- Tobacco, in any form, is prohibited.
- Swearing, grunting, loud noises, abusive language, inappropriate behavior, and vandalism will not be tolerated.
- Pick up your towels, water-bottles, magazines, etc. when finished.
- Be prepared to vacate the Fitness Center at closing time.
- No food or beverages (except water) are permitted.
Clothing
- Jeans, cut-off shorts, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
- Shirts must be worn at all times.
- Shirts with offensive wording are prohibited.
- Shoes must be clean and dry.
Equipment
- Allow others to “work-in” or take turns in the weight room.
- Do not monopolize several pieces of equipment in the weight room while others are waiting.
- Do not drop weights on the floor.
- Ease the weights into position on the machines; do not allow them to slam down.
- Return and rack the weights when finished.
- Do not place the weights on vinyl benches.
- Wipe off the equipment when finished.
Day-use Lockers
- All patrons must provide their own locks.
- Locks and locker contents must be removed at the completion of each workout. Locks left on the lockers will be cut off at closing time and items will be stored in 'lost and found.' If the items are not claimed within one week, they will be turned over to College Police. The College is not responsible for stolen or damaged items.
Rental Lockers
- All patrons must provide their own locks.
- Locks and locker contents must be removed at the end of the rental period.
