Important Information about Submitting your 2013-2014 FAFSA
Recommended process to submit your 2013-2014 FAFSA:
- Students and their parents (or spouse) first electronically submit 2012 Federal Tax Returns to the IRS
- Three (3) weeks later, complete and submit your FAFSA to take advantage of the IRS Data Retrieval Tool
Using IRS Data Retrieval allows taxpayers to conveniently transfer key financial items from their Federal Tax Return to a FAFSA, saving time and reducing the chance of errors, though it’s not available until approximately three (3) weeks after electronic submission of your Federal Tax Return.
If both a student and parents (or spouse) do not need to file a 2012 Federal Tax Return, you can submit your 2013-2014 FAFSA once you have all your 2012 financial documents.
April 15 is Penn College’s Priority FAFSA Submission Deadline.
