Where to Begin
The electricity use in on-campus buildings includes lighting, space heating and cooling, computing, and more. Electricity use on campus represents over half of our energy use, making it a logical place to begin energy-saving measures.
To narrow the scope of our initial action, the Energy Conservation subcommittee has turned an eye to those behaviors that everyone can change to help cut electricity use, including:
- Reduce classroom electric use
- Reduce office electric use
- Reduce computer electric use
