Placement testing with accommodations
All students who enroll at Penn College must take tests in reading, mathematics, writing, and computer competency to determine appropriate placement in college level classes. These tests are given throughout the year preceding enrollment.
To be scheduled for accommodated placement testing, students must contact the Disability Services program assistant after receiving a testing date through the Advisement Center. Accommodations for placement testing are based on the history of the services and testing accommodations that were received in high school.
Accommodated placement testing for Fall 2008 enrollment is scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2008; Friday, April 4, 2008; Monday, May 19, 2008; Thursday, June 26, 2008; Monday, July 28, 2008; and Monday, August 4, 2008.

Notification
For academic accommodations, the student will be notified by mail of his/her eligibility for Disability Services' accommodations and/or services based on the documentation review. The enrolled student is responsible for contacting the office to schedule an initial appointment with a member of the Disability Services staff. This should occur during the first few weeks of each semester to discuss the need for services and to obtain course Accommodation Request forms. The student is responsible for delivering these forms to the course instructor.
