About Counseling Services
Counseling Services at Pennsylvania College of Technology offers a wide range of services intended to empower students to achieve their personal and academic goals. We understand that college is more than just attending school, it's an experience that for most students represents a period of significant personal development and transition from dependence to independence. While this period of growth and transition can be dynamic and exciting, it can also involve unforeseen challenges and personal obstacles. The staff of Counseling Services are here to support you as you navigate these experiences, work towards graduation, and ultimately enter independent adulthood. We understand that while college can be exciting and fun, it can also be downright stressful. No matter one's course of study, credit load, life experience, or financial situation, the demands associated with attending college can be difficult to manage. Whether you're attending college directly following high school or going back to get your degree, you may find yourself struggling to balance your academic and personal obligations.
The mission of Counseling Services is to provide the highest quality services to students of Penn College. Our services are free to all enrolled students and include personal counseling, career counseling and exploration, and academic counseling. Furthermore, all services are completely confidential. Every aspect of your involvement with the us is maintained in files located in Counseling Services and never become part of your academic record at Penn College. Therefore, information related to your involvement with Counseling Services is not subject to FERPA. This, in turn, means that no faculty or staff member will ever be privy to any information related to your involvement with us without your written consent or unless required by applicable law.
If you have questions or aren't sure if the services we offer are relevant to your concerns, please call or stop by. If we can't assist, we'll do everything possible to connect you with the resource(s) that can.
