Commencement Details

Participation in graduation exercises is not, in itself, evidence of satisfactorily completing a program of study. Each student marching at commencement remains a candidate until his/her academic record has been given a final audit. A diploma from Pennsylvania College of Technology, signed and sealed by its proper officer, remains the official testament to possession of a degree.

Commencement Ceremony

The ceremony will take place Saturday, August 8, at 11 a.m. at the Community Arts Center, 220 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, for all graduating students in the schools of Business & Hospitality; Construction & Design Technologies; Health Sciences; Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies; Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications; and Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies.

Commencement Dress

All candidates for graduation wear the caps and gowns of their certificate or degree over appropriate dress clothing. Dresses, skirts, and long slacks are appropriate; shorts and jeans are not. Both men and women should wear hard-soled dress shoes. Due to the slope of the auditorium aisles and the polished stage floor, which may be slippery, women should avoid wearing high heels.
