College Publicity & Promotion Policy/Procedure
Policy 7.04
The Office of College Information and Community Relations is responsible for the publicity and promotion of the College and its activities. All promotional advertising, publications, and contacts with the media must be cleared through this office.
Procedure 7.04
Contact with Media
Any College employee who receives a request for College-related information from the media shall forward the request to the Office of College Information and Community Relations immediately. Only spokespersons representing the Office of College Information and Community Relations and the Office of the President are authorized to provide College-related information to the media. Exceptions to this policy may be made only at the discretion of these offices.
Official Logo
Any use of the official College logo must be approved by the Office of College Information and Community Relations.
Advertising
All advertising of Penn College programs and services through mass media (newspaper, magazine, radio, television, specialty/trade publications, billboards/outdoor promotion, website, etc.) must be approved by the Office of College Information and Community Relations. A process to evaluate the purpose, content, presentation and cost of advertising is in place to evaluate all requests.
Publications
Any printed material to be distributed off-campus for the purpose of information and/or promotion must be approved by the office of College Information and Community Relations. (This includes materials produced in any method: laser printers, central duplicating, in-house printing production or commercial vendor printing). A process to evaluate the purpose, content, presentation and cost of publications and printed materials is in place to evaluate all requests.
