Children's Learning Center Curriculum
The Center uses the Creative Curriculum®, a research-based curriculum that follows the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children for developmentally appropriate early childhood education and incorporates the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood. Children’s learning is assessed three times each year, and these assessments are shared at family conferences. Faculty and students from the College's Early Childhood program, as well as from other academic areas, are involved in the planning and operation of the Center.
The Center has four separate classes:
- Bees, enrolling children who are "1 and walking" to age 2.
- Bunnies, 2 and 3 year olds
- Bears, 3 and 4 year olds
- Birds, 4 and 5 year olds
Visitors are welcome; contact the Director to arrange a time to visit.
