Neurosonography

Sonographic technology used for neonatal intracranial anatomy imaging and diagnostic assessment for intracranial tumors, hemorrhage, hydrocephalus and congenital anomalies. Emphasis on topographical and intracranial anatomy, sonographic appearance of normal structures, scan planes and techniques, and pathological processes. A working knowledge of anatomy is assumed. Classroom and laboratory experiences are provided. Course admission is by permission of Director of Radiography. 1.10 Credits (1 Lecture - .30 Lab) Prerequisite(s): SON302.
