Vascular Sonography

Knowledge and techniques required to perform and differentiate normal from abnormal non-invasive vascular sonographic examinations. Non-invasive examinations include the assessment of the extracranial (carotid) vessels, peripheral arteries and veins, and the vessels branching off the abdominal aorta. Topics include: anatomy, cardiovascular hemodynamics, and scanning techniques. A working knowledge of anatomy is assumed. Classroom and laboratory experiences are provided. Course admission is by permission of Director of Radiography. 3.10 Credits (3 Lecture - .30 Lab) Prerequisite(s): SON302.
